Trinity College marks the end of 2024 by reflecting upon moments from the past year. Along with news of a presidential transition and the conclusion of Trinity’s Bicentennial celebrations, highlights of the year included academic and social events that brought the entire community together.
Daniel G. Lugo, currently president of Queens University of Charlotte, was named Trinity College’s 23rd president, a role he will assume on July 1, 2025. Lugo will succeed Joanne Berger-Sweeney, who has led the institution for 11 years.
In recognition of her research in the fields of neurodevelopment and mental health in children, epidemiologist Kaja LeWinn ’98 recently received the Trinity College President’s Medal for Science and Innovation.
